2,165 Days Of Meditation
One thousand, one hundred and sixty five days ago, I wrote the last post in my meditation series when I completed 1,000 days of consecutive meditation.
I posited that that was the end of the series. It seemed like a good place to end.
Now, I’m back with an update.
1,000 Days of Meditation
Today, January 27, 2023 was my 1000th consecutive day of meditation. When I finished my meditation yesterday, on day 999, I was struck by the number. Often 999 indicates or signifies the ending of a cycle. Today the number 1000, or 000, essentially represents the start of a new cycle.
900 Days of Meditation
I recently completed 900 consecutive days of meditation. And on day 901, I didn’t feel like meditating.
If you’ve been following along on this journey, you know that I use Insight Timer, which has a built in tracking feature. It tracks all types of stats. If it didn’t, I would have no idea that I had crossed this threshold.
500 Days of Meditation
It’s hard to believe, but I’ve just passed 500 consecutive days of meditation! This is a huge milestone for me. I can’t remember anything else that I have done intentionally for 500 days in a row. Consistency is hard for this double mutable. If you read my post on 100 days of Meditation, you know that I had a few specific things that helped me with this new habit - a timer, a specific time of day, and a basic goal.
100 Days of Meditation
If you caught my earlier post, What I Quit In Isolation, I mentioned a few things that I started or rather recommitted to in isolation, one of them was my meditation practice. As I mentioned in that post, I have been meditating off and on for close to 20 years, but consistency in my practice was not my strong suit. I’d do a few weeks of 3-5 days in a row or maybe 5-7, but I always skipped around and did it when I felt like it, or when I was in a beautiful place I wanted to connect with.
